Our submission was the second in the country & the government systems have had teething issues, so there is a delay to the standard 3 day processing times.

Napier, an exact mirror of our case recently had the project abandoned and the society were paid $7k towards their legal proceedings by the council. 

There are two membership levels

• Full member - $450 (best suited to residents that live within 1-2km of the 6 Teitei Dr / Carrot Park, this helps with our legal fight to protect our properties)

• Associate - $50 (this shows your support and gives us the numbers to prove to council the community is against this project)

Funds will be used for the legal battle of the existing "Ohakune Social Hosing Project" at Teitei drive. We're hopeful we can obtain 100-150 members initially & quickly, so council will take us more seriously.

You can apply to be an associate member for $50 p/a, this class of member will not have any voting rights however will receive updates on matters of importance. Being part of the society, even as an associate will give the society more of a fighting chance by numbers.

We are taking signups via our givealittle page, any donations of $450 will enable you to become a member. Any donations made to date that were less than this value, can do a top up to the value of $450 to become a member.
